Spring, fashion, style… Rulinen Group at Fashion Industry exhibition

Spring, fashion, style… Today these three words have been united again in St.Petersburg Sports and Concerts Complex, where the 41st Fashion Industry International exhibition of textile and consumer industry was organized. Fashion collections of textile and consumer industry will be demonstrated and actual issues related to development of the fashion market in Russia will be discussed here during four days.

Exposition of Rulinen Group occupies the central place at the exhibition. In this year’s fashions it again represents its latest collections of linen, which include suit and dress fabric, men and women’s clothing, table-and bed-clothing. The “zest” of the exposition is the new lacework under Vologodskaya Kruzhevnitsa trademark – fine luxurious tablecloths and napkins.
The following persons took part in the official opening ceremony:
• Georgy Vladimirovich Kalamanov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation;
• Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Zaitsev, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, Honoured Artist of Russia, President of the National Fashion Industry Academy (NFIA);
• Nikholay Valentinovich Aleksov, President of LINUM Group, Vice President of NFIA, General Partner of the 11th “Golden Spindle” Awarding Ceremony;
• Lyudmila Arsentyevna Ivanova, Vice President and Executive Director of NFIA, Producer of “Golden Shiver” Awarding Ceremony, national award in the sphere of fashion industry;

Georgy Vladimirovich Kalamanov read out a welcome letter to the participants of the exhibition from the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation D.V. Manturov: “Development of textile raw materials, creation of conditions for the modernization of production process, promotion of finished competitive domestic textile and consumer industry production are the priorities for the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.” The President of Rulinen Group N.V. Aleksov highly appreciated the value of support of textile industry on the part of the State: “The task of popularization of Russian fashion, its history and trends is very important now. Also for proper competition with the West, Russian designers do not need to arbitrarily copy foreign brands. Their task is to return the taste for selecting clothes, use popular and acceptable materials in their collections, both for the Russian client and for weather conditions in the country. At first, these are of course environmentally-friendly materials, for sure, linen is leading among them. The day before yesterday we met with the Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Valentinovich Manturov and noticed his great interest to our work and heard about real perspectives for support of fashion industry on the part of the State. It is a good and important intimation. It means that the State understands the importance of our work and supports it.”

After the official opening ceremony, at the stand of Rulinen Group a presentation of the new book of the writer Sergey Yesin “Slava Zaitsev: Master and Inspiration” took place, which was devoted to the 75th birthday anniversary of Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Zaitsev. It also included a press-conference, in which the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation G.V. Kalamanov, the Deputy of State Duma V.M. Pozgalev, and the President of Rulinen Group took part. Answering the questions of journalists, G.V. Kalamanov noted: “The Government of the Russian Federation and the President of Russia Vladimir Putin pay much attention to the measures of state support of textile and consumer industry. Last week, a meeting on the development of the domestic consumer industry and its raw materials was held in Vologda under the leadership of Vladimir Vladimirovich. The most pressing problems of the industry were discussed, representatives of industry, fashion business, and retail chains expressed their opinions. As a result, a number of measures for support of the textile industry on the part of the State have been already planned. That is also why I am here today, and tomorrow the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation D.V. Manturov will visit the exhibition.

The Deputy of State Duma, Ex-Governor of the Vologda region V.Е.Pozgalev answered the question on the position of textile industry: “There is no doubt that the situation in the industry remains complicated and it is obvious that the Russian consumer industry needs acceleration in its development, profound renovation of its man funds and considerable increase in labour productivity. However, it can be noted that some segments of the industry already attract considerable investors. We have examples of businesses that use the most advanced equipment and technologies, which are leaders in their market segments. A bright example here is OAO Vologodskiy Textil.

The President of Rulinen Group Nikholay Valentinovich Aleksov told the journalists about the details of the meeting with the President of the Russian Federation on the 7th of March: “Vladimir Vladimirovich expressed much interest in relation to the output capacity of our plant and estimated the highest level of innovation and the great work done in the sphere of the company’s modernization. Summing up the results the President of Russia said - “Your factory is pretty good. It is probably one of the best and the only company in the industry that operates using international standards and within the schedule of world fashion industry. Your factory made the very first steps in this field. It is a renovation-oriented factory. Quality of your products is highly competitive with the western levels of quality.” I should say that the gossip about the “premature death” of this industry is strongly exaggerated.”

On the opening day the next trend seminar “WOMEN'S FASHION TRENDS SPRING-SUMMER 2014” of the famous international fashion expert and analyst Aleksander Khilkevich (Moscow-Paris) took place. Textile designers of Rulinen Group took part in the seminar. They conducted a detailed workshop on the preparation of design fabrics for digital printing, as well as the procedure and placement stages of production orders.

The trend seminar participants were able to personally evaluate samples of modern digital printing on natural fabrics (linen, linen-cotton blended fabrics, viscose), which have already been recognized by the main fashion show Premiere Vision (Paris).
All visitors of Rulinen Group stand estimated the highest quality and the broad range of linen products supplied by the company.
First of all, this is a new collection of linen and linen-containing fabrics of the season “Spring-Summer 2014”, which brings together men, women and children's lines and reflects the fashion trends of the next season. Last week the fabrics collections were presented at the world’s most prestigious exhibition of fabrics and materials for the fashion industry - Premiere Vision Paris, and were chosen by experts for trend facilities. The main peculiarity of this collection is that it includes the fabrics made using digital printing with reactive dyes. This actual and popular for the textile industry technology became accessible thanks to the innovative digital printing machine installed at the factory of Rulinen Group in September 2012.
